
Anthony Francis Kupec, age 82, passed away Sept. 13, 2010, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. Tony, as he was known to friends, was born in Cleveland and was the last surviving child of John Andrew and Anna (née Hross) Kupec. Tony was married to Jeanne Kupec (née Erxleben) (deceased) and Carla Breth. He graduated from Benedictine High School. He was the first in his family to go to college and graduated from Ohio State with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Mr. Kupec worked for General Electric for many years, where he held various positions in Cleveland. He retired as the Plant Facilities Manager of the Tungsten Wire Facility in Euclid. Tony Kupec was an avid golfer and bowler, but golf became his passion. He played courses across the United States, as well as numerous courses in Canada, and a number of famous courses in Scotland. Anthony Francis Kupec is survived by his four sons, John William, Adam Charles, Anthony Paul, and Christopher Robert; and five grandsons, Edison, Peter, Dana, Willem, and Reuben. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 20, at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township 44026. Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
