Barbara was born December 5, 1932 in Des Moines, IA. She retired as a Teacher, and enjoyed traveling and sweets.
Barbara is survived by her husband Monroe; daughter Sharon (Marty) Hewes; son Ronald (Amy) Olson; son-in-law Tom Gehring; grandchildren Sonja (nee Smith) (Chris) Broach, Steffen Smith, Shura Gehring, Damon Gehring, Anders Olson, and Reece Olson; and great-grandchildren Violet Broach and Fox Broach.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Cathy Gehring, and granddaughter Larisa Gehring.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Northbrook Evangelical Covenant Church, 2737 Techny Rd., Northbrook, IL.
