Bernard "Berne" Reginald Erne

Beloved father of Antonette "Toni" and Samantha "Sammi". Former husband of Elaine Erne, nee Zulkowski, who was his caregiver through his 2-year battle with cancer. Son of Francis J. Erne, Sr., "Cap" and Elizabeth Erne, nee Bealko, both deceased. Dear brother of Francis Jr., Martin (Judy nee Lisowski), Benedict (Mimi nee Mohorcic), John, and Christine Cassesa. Beloved uncle to his dear nieces and nephews.

Berne graduated from St. Joseph High School in Cleveland in 1966, and Chandler Technology College in Willoughby in 1968. His entire career was spent as a computer programmer. He worked at Medical Mutual, Progressive Insurance, and Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS). Retiring in January of 2024. Outside of his long career as a programmer, Berne spent his springs and summers enjoying golf and gardening. Tomatoes and peppers were his favorites. He reluctantly added green beans and broccoli for his wife. He spent his autumns and winters bowling and cheering at his daughters' hockey games. He enjoyed spending time at Jack Casino and Northfield Park Racino. He loved playing the daily lottery and was pretty lucky with the Pick 3.
