Beverly R. (Droste) Bunsey, of Chester Twp., passed from this life into eternity with Jesus Christ on June 24, 2018. Beverly is survived by her husband David A., Sr.; her sons Sean C. (Catherine), David A., Jr. (Barbara), and Timothy M. (Jennifer Healey); grandchildren Allison, Charlotte, and Lilia Bunsey; siblings Richard (Rose Marie) Droste, Wilma Drazen, and William L. (Lori) Droste; and many nieces and nephews.
Beverly was born January 12, 1945, and was a resident of Chester Twp. since 1974, formerly of East Cleveland. A longtime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Beverly served in many ministries, including Altar Guild, coffee hour, Handbell Choir, and the cleaning committee. She and her husband David were members of the Cleveland Sport Car Club. One of Beverly's greatest joys was hosting many family holiday gatherings, including Easter and Thanksgiving.
Beverly graduated from Lutheran East High School, Lutheran School of Nursing (RN), and Kent State University School of Nursing (BSN). As a Registered Nurse, she worked with the Cleveland Clinic (Huron Rd. and Hillcrest Hospitals) for 42 years. She worked in high pressure patient care, including the Emergency Room, Coronary Intensive Care, Intensive Care, Outpatient Surgery, and Recovery Room. Beverly also served at Mid-Ohio race track in the Trackside Medical Center during race weekends in the late '70's & early '80's.
She is preceded in death by her parents William and Emma (Riemer) Droste; brother Ronald Droste; and brother-in-law Donald Drazen.
The family will receive family and friends from 9 – 10:30 am on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 11900 Chillicothe Rd., Chester Twp. A Memorial Service remembering Beverly's life lived in Christ will follow at 10:30 am. Interment in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Twp. A lunch in the church fellowship hall will follow Interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Beverly’s name may be made to Bethesda Lutheran Communities, at www.bethesdalutherancommunities.org
