Billie L. Heigley, age 73, passed away December 20, 2021 in Cleveland. Born January 5, 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was a resident of Chester Twp. for the past 33 years. Billie was a Teacher at Heritage Christian School in Brooklyn for many years. She later went on to become a Registered Occupational Therapist, and retired from the Cleveland Clinic before going back to work in many area nursing homes during the COVID Pandemic. Many family members and colleagues thought of Billie as a COVID Hero. She always went out of her way to help anyone in need. Billie enjoyed making Jewelry (Silversmithing), pottery, and traveling, especially in recent years while trying to enjoy life and ease away from her busy work schedule. She is survived by her lifelong companion and husband Wendell; daughter Cindy; sons Dale and Jonathan; grandchildren Ryan, Nathan, Madison, Leta, Isaac, Joshua, Mary, Sarah, and Isaiah; beloved sister Carol (Jerry) Gillinov; and many nieces and nephews. Billie is preceded in death by her parents William and Elizabeth (nee Baldy) Evans.
