Carl Rocco Catucci

Carl Rocco Catucci, age 81, died on August 20, 2026. He was born on January 16, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Mary Ann (Trolli) and Rocco Steve Catucci. Carl was a 1961 graduate of Collinwood High School. He served in the United States Army and was a proud member of the 6th Special Forces Group from 1965 through 1967. He married Loretta Mae Devine on July 27, 1984. Carl worked as a Security Guard and a Loss Prevention/Fraud Investigator for companies including Cleveland Trust, AmeriTrust, Fisher Fazio's, retiring from Giant Eagle. He loved watching and listening to the ocean. Carl enjoyed being by the water and would sit at the marina for hours. He loved cooking and get-togethers with his family, whenever he could. Carl picked up woodworking and would whittle small wooden figures for his family. If Carl and Loretta weren't on a road trip or at the casino, you could find them out enjoying a good meal. He enjoyed his garden and feeding the wildlife in his yard.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents; and a dear family friend, Rosemarie Karras. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Loretta M. Catucci of Mentor, Ohio; two daughters, Carla M. (Steve) Costell of Painesville, Ohio, and Deana L. Catucci of Mentor, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tyler (Toni) Sisler, Joshua Costell, Emma Costell, and Arianna Widger; a great-granddaughter, Madeline Sisler; and Jason Karras, whom he treated like a son.
