Carol Ann Lane

Carol Ann Lane, 82, of Kirtland, Ohio (formerly Wickliffe), became one of Heaven’s sweetest Angels on Monday, November 6, 2023. She was born on February 27, 1941 to the late Harold and Eileen (nee Ross) Schoning. Besides her parents, Carol is preceded in death by two beloved children, Kim and Mike Lane.

Carol is remembered by her loving son Dan (Denise) Lane; daughter-in-law Gina; adored grandchildren Randy (Nabila) Lane, Cassie (Matt) Miller, Brian Lane, Ben Lane, and Hayley Lane; sister Betty Dillon; two nephews Shawn and Kevin; and so many dear friends.

Carol enjoyed ceramics and meeting the Kirtland School teachers for breakfast and lunch dates. She attended many garage sales and hosted a few of her own over the years. Carol enjoyed spending many winters visiting her sister Betty in Florida.

Every grandchild was special to her and each had a day dedicated to loving and spoiling them. She was always a friendly face and eager to help anyone. Carol’s loving nature will be missed by so many.

Funeral Mass will be held at Divine Word Catholic Church located at 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland, Ohio 44094 on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11am. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Church from 10:30am until time of mass. All flowers and donations should be delivered to Divine Word Catholic Church.
