Carole Anne Widing

With heavy hearts we say goodbye to Carole A. Widing, age 87, who passed away on May 1st, 2022. While able Carole was active and dedicated in her Catholic faith. You could count on her for a shoulder to cry on in times of grief and needs. She will always be remembered for the little things such as Christmas Eve, cinnamon applesauce, Swedish meatballs, and chopped salads. When Carole knew that you were coming over, she made sure that she had all of your favorites. Whether it was a phone call, Facetime, or a visit, the family was with her, including the day that she closed her eyes for the last time. It was as Kenny Rodgers sings “the best you could hope for is to die in your sleep.” Carole joins her husband Gene and her parents in death. She leaves behind a loving family: her sisters Maureen Donovan and Maurice Detroyer; her four children Dale (Kathy), Kevin (Cindy), Denise Balsiger (Ken), and Nils (Robin); 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
