Born small but strong on August 30, 2019, Charlie fought hard for the 17 days of his life, and then passed unexpectedly. His parents recall that he was born “mad” but they soon learned he enjoyed being swaddled and held. Charlie was known to be called “baby bird” because his cry sounded like a sweet baby bird and gentle noises that sounded like squeaks. He is survived by his loving parents Michael and Julia (nee Nicoletti) Stanley; big brother Cooper; grandparents Tom and Annie Stanley, Patricia Swanson, and Chuck and Jamie Nicoletti; and many cousins and extended family. The family would like to send many thanks for the wonderful work and care provided by Rainbows Babies and Children’s hospital where Charlie spent his 17 days of life. Friends may call at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland on Sunday, September 22, 2019, 3-6 pm. Private Services will be held, followed by Private Interment at Larned Cemetery in Chardon. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Charlie may be made to UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, University Hospitals, Institutional Relations & Development, PO Box 94554, Cleveland, OH 44101-4554, or online at UHGiving.org and clicking on “Make a Gift”, or to the March of Dimes at www.marchofdimes.org
