Dan "D.J." Stone

Born February 28, 1992 in Mayfield Hts., he was a lifelong resident of Burton. Dan had a passion for video games, finding joy and adventure in the worlds he explored. He also treasured the company and love from his fiancé Courtney, but above all, the true center of his universe was his daughter, Luna. Dan’s devotion to Luna was clear to all — he was her biggest supporter, her coach, her cheerleader, and her constant source of strength and encouragement. Whether on the sports field or in the classroom, Dan was always present. He frequently volunteered as a coach for Luna’s teams, sharing not only his knowledge but also his enthusiasm and belief in every child's potential. In school, he was a familiar and comforting presence as a room parent, always ready to lend a helping hand. Dan is survived by his daughter Luna; fiancé Courtney Clem and her daughter Addy; sister Sarah; mother Karen Stone-Dailey; grandparents Lee and Ed Stone; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his fathers Mike Dailey and Dan Stone, Sr.; and grandparents Elaine and George Letcher. Family and friends may call at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 11900 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland on Sunday 3 – 4 pm, where services will be held on Sunday May 4, 2025 at 4:00 pm. A light dinner will be served at the church after services.
