Davey Rowan Sr.

Davey was born in Buckhannon, WV and grew up in Stewartstown, WV. A 1961 graduate of University High School, he went on to serve in the U.S. Army, stationed in France. Upon returning home, Davey ultimately became a welder and was a proud 49 year union member of Plumbers and Pipefitters UA Local 152, Morgantown, WV.

He was an avid outdoorsman with a love of nature, especially the Alaskan wilderness. During his last trip to Alaska, he was fortunate to see 20 plus bears at the famous Brooks River Falls at Brooks Park.

Davey was a devoted, loving husband to Diane and an amazing father to son Davey Jr. (Noelle), and daughter Dana. He is survived by his brother James and sisters Betty, Mary, Rose, and Linda as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Dio and Ruth, brother Ted, and sister Johann.

In keeping with Davey’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
