With saddened hearts we regretfully announce the passing of Debra Ward (nee Sheppard) at the youthful age of 69. She passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Debra had a difficult battle with cancer and she fought strongly to the end.
She is the beloved wife of Daniel R. Ward; loving mother of Anthony Ward (Kathy), Deanna Snider, Dave Snider (Shanna), and Danielle Martincic (Jim); devoted grandmother of Jacob and Caden Hommel, Jesse Martincic, Alivia and Alyssa Snider, Anthony Jr. (Monica) and Danny Ward, Kristian Shultz, and Amanda Shockey; dear great-grandmother of Eleanor Mae Hommel and Greyson Schultz; cherished sister of Diane Wardell (Doug); and loving daughter of the late Donald and Doris Sheppard.
Debra lived a full life traveling with her husband, being the navigator for all their adventures. She loved living in Florida, the sun, and loved her family endlessly.
There will be no public services held, her family will have a private Celebration of Life. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Debra’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
Debra’s family thanks all of you for your love and support during this difficult time, and especially to her family and friends that battled alongside of her during her illness.
Debra will forever be loved and remembered, she was a beautiful soul. In the words of Bruno Mars, “You are beautiful in every single way.” You kicked butt Deb!
