Donald E. Clark, 91, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 21, 2022. As a longtime resident of Lake and Geauga Counties, he was Co-Founder of Clark Rubber and Plastics now celebrating 50 years in business. Donald was a proud veteran of the US Airforce and member of the Sons of American Revolution and American Legion. Donald was an intelligent and kindhearted person who valued his family above all else. He was a true patriot, with a love for his country, and had a remarkable work ethic that served him well as a businessman and father. Donald enjoyed playing golf, Cleveland sports, researching his family ancestry and learning everything to know about the Revolutionary, Civil and World Wars. His most cherished time was spent with his beloved wife Joan of 64 years, along with his seven children, 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren on the back porch of his lakefront home in Madison, OH. At family gatherings he could invariably be found with a smile on his face and a Bud Light in his hand. Donald had a distinct laugh that lit up every room he entered. He was a friend to everyone and a stranger to none. As a devout Catholic, Donald was an active member at the Immaculate Conception Church in Madison, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ellis and Angela Clark, and his brother Miles Clark. Donald is survived by his beloved wife Joan, children Patricia M. Clark-Collins (Randy), James T. Clark (Donna), Daniel E. Clark (Amor), Mary Ann Lombardy (David), Julie A. Clark ( Ron), Robert F. Clark ( Michele), Michael D. Clark (Amy); brother James T. Clark (Fran), 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday October 28th, 2022 9:30am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury, OH 44065.
