Uncle Don ~

Thank you for being a wonderful uncle, friend, and godfather. The Little League games, backyard football, Fourth of July baseball, long drives to high school sporting events, and days spent admiring your golfing skills are memories I'll carry forever. 

The miles we traveled together have simply become the miles into the stars, where your kindness, laughter, and love will continue to guide us until we see you again.

What a sweet man. He was a customer at cvs for all the years I was there as a pharmacist.  Always cheerful and friendly.  Enjoyed chit chatting with him regularly. Sincere Condolences to his family and friends.

Dear Juli and Scott...I was Blessed to have known your Father for the past 25 years...I came to know Don when we both decided to attend the Thursday morning Bible Study at St Anselms... Don faithfully attended every study missing only a couple for Doctors visits. Through our friendship in class Don would ask me to assist him with various projects around the house...the bonus for me was to be able to spend more time with Don and at the time Elaine in his most comfortable home. As soon as I walked into his kitchen Don had neatly placed all his devotionals and all  his different charities neatly stacked and ready to read on his kitchen table...I was amazed on how diligent and faithful Don was to Journal his daily activities always Thanking his Lord first. He had a most welcoming and generous spirit...when he knew I was coming and he might be out to Mass he always had a cup of coffee ready to make and something to eat. I will never forget his love for baseball...watching the games in his most comfortable TV room... Don was a man of simple pleasures and his simple routines were an inspiration to so many... daily mass...weekly confession...daily workouts...swimming...working in his yard...visiting friends and family...Don never waisted his time...he always tried to stay on top of everything...what a great guy and I will carry these memories of Don forever... what will always put a smile on my face is when I remember how Don would always finish his response with an "Oh Yeh"...I look forward to seeing Don standing behind Jesus to welcome me home...Isaiah 30:21 tells us..."Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, "This is the way, walk in it"...Don was obedient to do just that.. I knew Don from about when we were 10 years old. We grew up on the same street on the east side of Cleveland. He loved to play sports, baseball in the street, no ball park in the  early years. As teenagers doubled  dated. He would wash the priest car from St Henry and take us for a ride before returning the clean car. I pray that he is at pease now that he is with his wife in the fathers house.

To Don's family, I knew Don from morning mass at St. Anselm.  His devotion to God was a true testament.  I always enjoyed talking with him afterwards.  May God's loving embrace welcome him home and guide the family during this difficult time.  My sincere condolences.

Juli and Scott - I will always remember your dad as Santa Claus at Aunt Cindy’s and his big ‘ho, ho, ho’! We have so many great memories. Sending love and hugs to you! Love, Angela, Dennis and Kevin

My Dad....The best father, husband,  grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin or friend you could hope for. He was my rock. Always there to lean on in hard times or just to talk to when things were tough. You have taught me so many things; to always be kind, to be a servant to people in need, to always keep in touch with family and friends. To you, making people laugh was like giving them a gift,  and the most important is to love the Lord with all of your heart. Dad, You will be missed.      Until we meet again.
