Donald Clyde Wedekamm

Donald Clyde Wedekamm, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. Born April 25, 1934 in Parkersburg, WV, he grew up in Harrisville, WV before eventually moving to Chester Twp. in 1961. Donald was a U.S. Army Veteran and a Grand Master of the Free and Accepted Masons, University Heights Lodge #738. He enjoyed roller skating, playing golf, and traveling. Donald taught Biology, Physics, Physical Science, and was a wrestling coach at Mayfield High School for 35 years. Survivors include his wife Rea Dawn (nee Dawson); son Robert L.; daughter Julie Beth (Paul) Balazs; grandchildren Jaron and Justin Tager; brother Ed (Shirley); and sister-in-law Claire (Jim) Robinson. Donald’s parents Forrest and Roxie Wedekamm are deceased. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 pm, Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Chesterland Baptist Church, 12670 Chillicothe Rd., Chester Twp. Visitation at the church one hour prior to service. Interment at a later date in Harrisville, WV

Marcy talked about Mr. Don all the time even after her 16 year career at CLC. "Mr. Don was always nice to me and we laughed Everytime he came to fix something. He will be missed."
