

Dorothy "Dee" Konick, a woman of remarkable wit, intelligence, and laughter, passed away on September 22, 2025, after a well-lived life. Born on June 30, 1941, Dorothy, better known as "Dee" to her close friends and family, will be remembered for her contagious laugh that could light up any room, and her intelligent mind that enlightened many lives.
She made significant strides in her career as a Psychologist, running her own practice where she served a broad range of clients, including low income families. Her empathetic work also extended beyond her practice to local prisons, where she conducted group sessions with inmates, impacting lives in profound ways.
In her personal life, Dorothy was a beacon of kindness and generosity, always going the extra mile for those she loved. She had an meaning to her life that she often summed up in her favorite phrase, "and so it goes," a testament to her accepting and understanding nature.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, DeAnna Konick, granddaughter, Kaya Aftanas and Ashleigh Chambers, grandson, Brandon Wert, 5 great grandkids, Rylee Duval- Chambers Aubree, Justin Jr. Hailee and Jaiden Holbrook, cousin, Andre' Morgana, niece, Trina Cole and Holly Cole, great nephew Dylan Cole and her brother-in-law, Lynn Cole. She is predeceased by her former husband Andrew Konick, father, Jim Stone, mother, Clair Stone, brothers, Blinn Stone and Jimmy Stone, sister, Barb Cole, nephew Jason Cole, cousin Morley Morgana and her aunt, Sally Morgana.
Dorothy's legacy is one of profound kindness, unmatched intelligence, and everlasting generosity. Her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her will miss her dearly, but are comforted knowing her spirit lives on in the many lives she touched.
