On December 14th, 2021, Edward V. Nehrig passed away peacefully at his home in Bratenahl, Ohio at the age of 83. He was born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania on October 6, 1938, to Reverend Harry W. and Nancy Nehrig. He spent most of his early life in the surrounding areas of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He operated his own roofing company and later worked in retail at Sears, Roebuck & Company, and other home improvement companies. During the past 35 years, he resided in the Cleveland area to be closer to family.
He enjoyed sailing and spending time with his friends at the Northeast Yacht Club. Evenings and weekends would find him on the sidelines at grandson Cory’s cross country/track meets or at the hockey rink cheering him on. He was always Cory’s number one fan. He is survived by his daughter Beth Ann (Dushan) Bouchek; grandson Cory Bouchek; and brother Ralph (Ann) Nehrig. He will always be remembered for his smile and his willingness to provide a helping hand. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 8, 2022, at 12 Noon at Christ Presbyterian Church, 12419 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland Ohio 44026. A luncheon will be served after the service at the church.
