Colleen, Connor, Lauren, and all of Ed's family and friends, I grieve with all of you:
I met Ed in 1994. He was my colleague directly across a cubicle at JFS for six years. He was a cool professional, yet light-heartedly made CPS work easier with his directness and humor. We shared a lot and I was there as he and Colleen fell in love and married.
When I was going through difficult single-parenthood times, in 1996 Ed and Coll became my son's baptismal sponsors. Ed helped me move an apartment full of furniture to a condo in 1998-by himself when no other helpers showed up. I can still see him carrying a recliner up over his head as we laughed about how cheap and light it was. In 2001 I delighted to bring my then-12 yr old son to their wedding, and later when Connor was born on my son's same birth date! There is a synchronicity and grace with certain people being in our lives. Later, though we drifted apart, I appreciated when I'd be invited over and witness their beautiful kids growing, Ed proud of their accomplishments.

My heart hurts for you and yet I know you as strong people with faith; I always admired and envied the loving support system of family you have. May they lovingly guide, hold you together. Ed was admired and beloved. He died beloved and is now without pain, free of earthly stressors. In these following days you are heavy on my mind and in my heart.

I admired Ed so much. When I started out as a social worker, Ed taught me a great deal. He was amazing with kids, he was an awesome child abuse/neglect intake worker, and he made almost every situation fun! Whenever I needed advice on how to handle a work situation he enjoyed educating and helping me grow. I was a better social worker because of him.
I remember him having an infectious smile and he was always making people laugh!
I will never forget Ed and the memories of him. They hold such a special place in my heart. Love never dies, Ed will be with us all forever. God bless all those who loved him and I pray that his memory will bless you all forever.

Ed was my cousin. He was so good looking with his beautiful brown eyes and a smile to light up a room. I know all my family that has past will be there to welcome him home. We all will miss him. We love you Eddie. 🙏

I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Ed for the last few years and he was always fun to talk to. He was so witty and always had the best/worst jokes to tell. He was very proud of his children and was always smiling when he talked about them. He will be sorely missed.
