Eila K. Hattendorf (nee Salminen) age 89 of Aurora, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 27, 2019. She was born on August 28, 1929, to Lyyli and John Salminen (both deceased). She was the beloved wife of the late Larry Hattendorf. Loving mother of: Laurie Mental (Tom), Jim Hattendorf, Jeff Hattendorf (Karen), Lynda Sims (John), and Tina Gerber (Jeff). Devoted grandmother of: Heather Nettle (Steve), Todd Mental, Tiffany Smith (James), Steven Hattendorf (Michelle), Ashley Hattendorf, Nicole Clark (Mike), Scott Mental, Lance Hattendorf, Andrew Sims, Patrick Sims (Ally), Zachary and Sara Gerber. Great grandmother of eleven. She was the sister of Christine Cromwell. Eila was a member of Walden Country Club, Chagrin Valley Women’s Club and numerous bridge groups. She loved playing bridge, bridge, bridge. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting, academic and musical events.
