Elisa Berardinelli

Born July 4, 1931, in Isernia, Italy, she resided in Collinwood before moving to Chesterland in 1979.

Elisa will be remembered as a beloved presence in the lives of those who knew her, and as a woman of steady faith. A longtime parishioner of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Collinwood, her devotion was reflected not only in worship, but in the quiet constancy with which she cared for others and held her family close.

She found joy in simple, enduring pleasures: traveling, tending to her garden, and the warmth of a well-loved kitchen. Cooking and baking were among her favorite ways to give of herself, especially through cherished Sunday dinners shared with family. In the same thoughtful spirit, she was known for writing birthday cards to family and close friends—small notes that carried lasting meaning and made others feel remembered.

Elisa is survived by her children Josephine B. Evans, Gino (Stacy), Anna Hocevar (Greg), Elio (deceased) (Iole), Lillian Rybak (John), Elaine Pietrangelo (Greg Kravchuck), Paula Berardinelli; grandchildren Stacie Reynolds (Tom), Kevin Evans (Christine), Jeff Evans (Suzanna), Anthony Berardinelli (Stephanie), Joseph Berardinelli, Jonathon Berardinelli, Ryan Hocevar (Heather), Melissa Hocevar Costello (Paul), Kristie Hocevar, Alana Rowley (Tom), Andrew Berardinelli, Daniel Berardinelli (Danielle), Grace Rybak, Jack Rybak, Gabriella Pietrangelo (Jared), Michael Pietrangelo, Adrianna Bernardo, Sofia Bernardo (Paul), and Olivia Bernardo; great-grandchildren Ricky, Luke and Elia Reynolds, Paxton & Josie Evans, Orlando and Oliver Evans, Paolo and Enzo Berardinelli, Violet, Penelope and Oliver Hocevar, Calix and Xavia Costello, Giuliana, Eliott, Lila and Simona Rowley, and Sammy Berardinelli; and siblings Carmelina (Angelo) Oriani and Tony Piscitelli (Anna). She is also preceded in death by her husband Orlando Berardinelli; and parents Cosmo and Giulia (nee Furioso) Piscitelli.
