Eunice R. Miller

Eunice was the Mebane High School Girls Basketball Team Captain and led the team to win the Alamance County Girls Basketball Championship from 1946-1948. Following graduation, Eunice served in the U.S. Navy.

She embraced her service and was always a hard worker. She worked in a cotton mill during high school, attended Lakeland Community College, and retired from Gould/Westinghouse where she led a data entry team.

Eunice was a proud member of Chesterland Baptist Church for many years where she served as a deaconess and was part of the American Baptist Women’s Ministries, which she loved.

Eunice loved square/round dancing and traveling with her husband Merl. She also enjoyed going on bus trips with her lady friends. Eunice appreciated spending time with family/friends and happily hosted holiday/birthday parties and summer cook outs.

A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, & great grandmother, Eunice is survived by four children: David Sparbeck, Cyndi Brooks (Dan), Tim Miller (Kathy), and Jennifer Miller, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Eunice is preceded in death by her husband Merl Miller and son Roger Miller.

A memorial service will be held at Chesterland Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 4 pm with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ASPCA, Geauga County Home Delivered Meals, Chesterland Baptist Church, or the Arbor Day Foundation.
