Evelyn B. Jordan

Evelyn Jordan, always 39, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Chester Township on March 15, 2014. She was born in Texas and spent most of her life at Corner Creek Farm in Newbury Township, before moving to Chester Township. Evelyn was an avid horseback rider and enjoyed raising Golden Retrievers. She was a very strong, active, independent person who loved traveling the world. Her most recent trip to Costa Rica in 2001 was her most memorable. She had a way of making everything fun. She sure loved Champagne! There was always a reason to celebrate. Her positive attitude and infectious laugh will be dearly missed. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Vivian Jarchow; son William Jordan; much loved daughter-in-law Diane Jordan; grandchildren Craig (Kim) Work, Catherine (Dave)Thurber, Scott (Tatiana) Jordan, Pamela Jordan, and Hannah Jordan; great-grandchildren Benjamin Schwartz, Darlene Work, Erin and Michael Thurber, Ricardo and Camila Jordan. She was preceded in death as an "Irish" wife by her husband of 66 years, James Jordan; son Rick Jordan; son-in-law Lee Jarchow; and granddaughter Christine Lindegarde. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Chester Township Police and Fire Departments. The Services for Evelyn will be private.
