Dr. Gapin “Doc” P. Dorado, age 89, passed away peacefully May 1, 2022 at his residence. Born December 11, 1932 in Dumaguete City, Philippines, he resided in Euclid for over 50 years. After graduating from medical school, Gapin immigrated to the United States and set-up his private practice as a Family Physician in Euclid, where he served patients for 20 years. Subsequent to his retirement from private practice, he worked at Lake Health for over 25 years. Gapin enjoyed woodworking, doing remodeling projects with friends and family, and building furniture. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Gapin is survived by his wife Marlene (nee Celeste); children Sandra (Jeffry) Erney, Jo (Drew) Dorado-Clair, John (Linda) Dorado, Anthony Patfield, and James (Leslie) Dorado; grandchildren Angela (Talon) Oleszczuk, Katie (Daz) Pepper, Jeffrey Erney, Olivia Dorado, and Matthew Dorado; great-grandsons Charlie Pepper, Marin Oleszczuk and Connor Dorado; great-granddaughter Adalie Oleszczuk; niece Gina (Jim) Herak; and nephew Raymond (Diane) Giangiacomo. He is preceded in death by his parents Anecito and Candida (nee de la Pena) Dorado; mother and father-in-law Carrie and Rudolph Strainic; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Rita and Domenick Giangiacomo; and cousin Anita Colitti. In addition he was a loving brother to Zayde D. Liboon, Crisustoro Dario Dorado, Silvestre Dorado, Renee D. Tan, Rilthe Lain Dorado, Domingo Levi Dorado, and Godeliva Dorado.
