Just spent the day with Geoff last week pouring coffee at the Chardon VFW breakfast as he volunteered one last time. He filled my day with stories of his past and I was shocked to learn of his departure from this world. My deepest sympathy to his Family.

Your love and laughter touched many lives and will not be forgotten.

IWe will forever miss your smile and laugh but never forget what a good friend and neighbor you were. As often or rarely that we would see you ,you always made us feel as best friends.our good memories of you will last forever.

Sgt. Wendt,  my Sarge at Juvenile Court in 2007..  That was a memorable summer I spent there, as You made us all laugh. I'll always remember that year and the fun times we had. I hope there are Motorcycles and all You can eat Wendy's in heaven!   RIP

I will so miss Geoff.  We met when he was in the Navy and have been friends ever since.  One of my most fun memories of Geoff was in Sausalito, CA, in 1974 to celebrate his 22nd birthday.  Four of us decided to brunch at a "dining saloon" which we thought would be inexpensive; to our surprised, it was white cloth tablecloths, and the cheapest meal was $14 (in 1974)! We pooled our resources and found enough to buy Geoff a beer and a breakfast of bacon and eggs (just under $20).  The waitress checked his ID (he was the only one of us over 21) and said "Happy Birthday old man."  When he was on the USS San Jose, Geoff (and some of his other Navy buddies) used to spend weekends with my family in Sacramento.  My parents, brothers, and I loved his good nature and sense of humor. Although Geoff and I kept in contact over the miles over the years, I hadn't actually seen him for 34 years, until, coming full circle, he stayed with my family (my husband, kitties, and me) when he was here for a renunion of San Jose sailors.  It was the first time I'd actually seen Geoff since 1979, and he was every bit the Geoff I remembered from so many moons ago.  I will miss you, my friend.   My deepests, heartfelt condolences to Geoff's loved ones.  He was one of a kind.

He was a co-worker that became a trusted friend ,hunting, shooting, & hanging out.The type of person that is worth knowing in life. Although we both retired and went on with other things, you could always call Geoff, and he would show up, with a a smile on his face.

Working and talking with Geoff over the years added depth to my life experience..he was a remarkable man of principle and conviction who lived life to the fullest. It was a privilege to have known him. Deepest condolences to Julie, we're gonna miss him too.

To my Deputy Brother. u will be missed as my friend,and at the church patrols and deputy meetings. I know how much you enjoyed being  retired and riding your motorcycle.

Geoffrey was a good friend and Co Worker. We had a lot of fun together. From the Court Towers, Patrol and as a Transport Deputy. That carried to the Sergeant he so deserved and fought to get, and the compassion to the people he worked with. I can remember the 1st time I met his wife Julia and was afraid of being in trouble after sending Geoff home with some of my constant Jokes. I admired him and will always miss him. Geoffrey was in my class in lakewood. I was shocked and saddened to here of his passing. Even after all these years, I remember Geoffrey. His family and friends are in my prayers.
