George E. Brewster, age 82, of Russell Twp., passed away June 9, 2022. Born March 27, 1940 in Cleveland, he was a longtime resident of Geauga County. George was a proud graduate of Euclid High School and the Cleveland Institute of Art, and went on to work as a Commercial Artist for many years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Bainbridge Twp. George’s participation within the church and his Christian faith were very important parts of his life. He was also a member of the Ohio Bottle Club, regularly collecting antique medicine bottles to add to his bottle collection. George was an avid outdoorsman and loved working within nature, and was often found riding on and maintaining his 1953 Ford tractor. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Marc) Shefelton. George is preceded in death by his wife Helen C. (nee Huss); daughter Claire Brewster; sister Beverly Rohrich; and parents Donald and Clara (nee Edson) Brewster. Family and friends may call at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland on Wednesday 4-7 pm, where services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 10:00 am. Interment at Riverview Cemetery in Russell Twp. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in George’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
