Gordon C. Turske, age 90, passed away peacefully March 27, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. Born August 6, 1935, in Cleveland, he was a resident of Chester Township since 1972. Gordon will be remembered as a hard-working, beloved, and humorous man whose steady presence and quick wit stayed with him to the very end.
After a long career of service, Gordon retired in 1988 following 29 years as a proud Firefighter for the City of Cleveland. He also co-owned BoTax Income Tax Service with his late wife, Patricia, from 1970 to 1996, bringing the same dedication and reliability to his work and to the people he served.
A true patriot, Gordon was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and all things Cleveland sports. Gordon was an active member of St. Anselm Church, where he participated in the St. Anselm Bereavement Choir and Young of Heart. An avid historian, Gordon spent many hours reading and watching movies about historical events, always eager to learn and reflect. Known for being “sharp as a tack,” he remained funny and quick-minded until the time of his passing.
