James E. Fitch

Born Oct. 16, 1940, in Cleveland, he had lived in Chester Township for the past 40 years.

Mr. Fitch was raised in Holland, Mich., and graduated from Holland High School. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA from Cleveland State. Mr. Fitch served four years in the U.S. Navy and was active in the V.F.W. and Eagles.

Mr. Fitch owned Fitch & Fitch accounting firm in Bainbridge.

Survivors are his wife, Noreen (nee Blakemore); three sons, James (Jennifer), John, and Patrick (Meg); grandchildren, Daniel, Katherine, Christopher, Kathleen and Mary; and brothers, Robert and Kevin.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.

Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at Saint Anselm Church, 12969 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. (Please meet at the church.)
