James A. Toomey

Born March 8, 1935 in Oak Park, IL, he lived in Kirtland for 30 years before moving to Aurora 25 years ago. For much of his adult life, Jim was employed in the pharmaceutical sales industry and he felt blessed to work in Cleveland where he could serve so many high caliber doctors and hospitals. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a graduate of John Carroll University. Jim was a longstanding parishioner of Holy Angels Church in Bainbridge Twp., and previously a parishioner of Divine Word Church in Kirtland and Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby. He is survived by his wife Carolann (nee Gang); children John, Mary Rita (Andy) Clyde, Kathleen (Brad Segro) Toomey, Anne (Bob) Kelemen, Bridget Toomey, and James, Jr. (Larissa); grandchildren Samantha, Kennedy, and Anderson Clyde, Grace (Ben), James and Lilly Kelemen, and Kathryn and Jack Toomey; and great-grandchildren Iris. Jim is preceded in death by his Brother Jack Toomey; and parents John and Mabel (nee Bruens) Toomey.
