Jean M. Howell

She was a resident of Austintown for over 50 years and an Ohio State University graduate who taught elementary school at many schools including six years at Kirkmere.

Jean leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Richard. She was the light of his life and his Princess for every one of those years. Also left behind is her only son, Scott J. Howell (Bethann Howell); stepdaughter Pamela; and four grandchildren, Michael, Paige, David and Dylan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Kardas; mother Mary Thomasowich; siblings Stella, Cassie, Anne and Michael, as well as two twin brothers, John and Joseph who died in infancy.

She is survived by a sister, Helen Barbour.

Jean was an amazing wife, mother, sister and daughter. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Church, 4545 New Road in Austintown. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass.
