Born February 18, 1930 in Lancaster, OH, she was a resident of Chesterland before moving to Mayfield Hts. 33 years ago. Joan was a teaching nurse with Lakeland Community College, in conjunction with Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, for 18 years, retiring in 1991. She was a longtime parishioner of the Church of Saint Anselm in Chesterland, and loved knitting, crocheting, and playing bridge and golf. Joan is survived by her sons Thomas, Patrick, and John (Suzanne); grandchildren Scott, Kevin, Ben, Danny, Meg, Catie, Adrienne, Charlie, and Jaci; “GG” to many great-grandchildren; and sister Barb. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard; son Michael; sister Mary T.; and brother Jerry. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am, Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Church of Saint Anselm, 12969 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland. Private Interment at a later date at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
