

Juliet Marie Jakse, 60, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at her home. A 30-year resident of Chesterland, Mrs. Jakse was born on April 5, 1954 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She later graduated from Charles F. Brush High School in Lyndhurst and received a degree in Music Education from Cleveland State University. Juliet wed her husband, Dennis Jakse of Chesterland in 1976. A devoted wife and mother, she was a Girl Scout leader for 14 years and was an active member of the West Geauga PTA. Juliet shared her gift of music as a pianist and would often accompany West Geauga singing groups. She was an avid dancer and aerobic dance instructor. Juliet was a lifelong member of The Church of Christ, Scientist and was a member of both the Chardon and Chagrin Falls churches. She served as First and Second Reader and shared her musical ability as an organist and pianist. She also was a librarian in the Chagrin Falls Christian Science Reading Room. Survivors include her husband, Dennis Frank Jakse; daughters, Sonia Marie (Joseph) Jakse Barone, and Vanessa Loren Jakse; sisters, Anita Louise (Jeffrey) Lange, and Cynthia Jean (William) Vasu; brother, Frederick (Karen) Lange; and many nieces and a nephew. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road (Rt. 306, N. of Mayfield Rd.) Chesterland, with visitation following until 5:00 p.m. Private inurnment.
