Kenneth Owen Pierce

Kenneth Owen Pierce, 67, of Apex, N.C., passed away July 24, 2012, at his home. Born May 13, 1945, in Cleveland, he had lived in Chester Township before moving to Apex, N.C., two years ago. Kenneth is remembered as a proud Naval veteran and an active member of his communities. To know him was to love him. He will forever be remembered by all who were blessed to know him. Survivors are his beloved companion, Judith Mellor; children, David Pierce, Kathleen (David) Harrison, Timothy (Beth) Pierce, Paul (Ashley) Pierce, Suzanne (Jim) Messina, and Heidi (Kevin) Karl; 17 grandchildren; brother, Barry (Lynn) Pierce; and many loved nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. Memorial services will be noon Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home. Pastor Curtis May will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Apex Senior Center, in memory of Kenneth O. Pierce, P.O. Box 250, Apex, NC 27502, (919)249-3402 .

Oh Kenny,
I am sure that you will be missed. So lucky to have had you for a cousin. Hard to believe that you are gone. One fantastic thing is that our wonderful memories of our family can't be taken away., no matter what. Your picture looks so much like your dad.
My prayers are extended to your whole entire familly. Wow, 17 grandkids.!!
