

Lillian Ivette Gribble, age 74, died on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at her home in Chesterland. She was born on February 18, 1952, in Yauco, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Nydia Elba (Pueyo) and Manuel Caraballo. Coming to Cleveland as a child, Lillian graduated from John Marshall High School. Lillian graduated from Myers University of Cleveland, earning a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and becoming one of the university’s Directors. She moved on to administrative duties for Cleveland State University in the Honors Program until her retirement in 2018. On June 10, 2000, she married William Lewis Gribble, Jr. Together they lived in Chesterland for many years. Lillian loved being with her grandchildren and tending her flower beds, and being with her faithful dog Hitch. She enjoyed short trips and playing the penny slots. Lillian is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Caraballo. Survivors include her husband of nearly twenty-six years, Bill; her two sons, Juan Morell of Parma, Ohio, and Nelson (Elizabeth) Morell of Brecksville, Ohio; her mom Nydia Caraballo of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Alexandria, Joseph, Hailey, Aiden, Leah, and Eric; her brothers, Misael Caraballo and Alwyn Caraballo both of Cleveland, Ohio; sister-in-law, Kimberly Bohley; brother-in-law, Tom Bohley and niece, Grace.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, Ohio, 44026.
Private graveside services will be held at Chester Township Cemetery.
