Louise (Lou) Dragan, born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 24th, 1937, passed away on August 14th, 2022 at the age of 85. She was a long-time teacher and resident of Chesterland, Ohio. Louise began her teaching career in Garfield Heights, then spent ten years at home raising her three children. Louise returned to the classroom and taught various grades for the next twenty-four years at the West Geauga Schools, where she touched the lives of countless children. While teaching, she ran many clubs and organizations, here favorite being the director of the West Geauga Wolverettes for ten years. Louise enjoyed traveling with her husband, reading, gardening, making floral arrangements, spending time with her family and friends, and playing Solitaire. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Louise had a passion for helping others and was an active member of Saint Anselm Church, Christ Child Society, and the Aquilegia Garden Club. Louise is survived by her loving husband John; daughters Lynn Gallagher (Bill) and Nancy Daniels (Chuck); grandchildren Brendan (Christen), Sean, Kaitlyn, Brooke, and Chase; great-grandchildren Brody and Brendan Jr.; and siblings Dee Cowan, Fran Steigerwald, and Dave Steigerwald (Jackie). She was preceded in death by her son Bob; and parents Arnold and Genevieve Steigerwald. Friends are welcome at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland on Friday September 2nd, 2022 from 4-7pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Anselm Church, 12969 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland on Saturday September 3rd, 2022 at 11am (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment at a later date at Chester Township Cemetery, Chesterland.
