I was a teacher at Forest Park Jr. High while Louise's husband, Dominic, was our Principal. As a young teacher I gave Dominic a hard time about his overly compassionate nature toward our students. Later, as I too became a Principal in Euclid, I received the same criticism. I then realized how much Dominic influenced me: We were there for the children whether it be thick or thin. As a father of three daughters (two currently educators) I still reflect in amazement how Louise and Dominic mangaged to raise so many children. Its funny how our perspective changes as we go through our own life experiences. I only regret that I was not able to tell Dominic personally about his positive impact on me as an educator and person. Also I am only now expressing my appreciation for the role of mother and household manager that Louise provided for her family. During my career and now retirement, I have shared many Dominic Federici stories. God Bless Your Family, Bob Smolinski EHS grad 1970, teacher-coach-principal 1974-2009.
