

Loy Moss, 81, of Chester Township, died Oct. 14, 2010, at his residence. Born Dec. 21, 1928, in Glenville, W.Va., he had lived in Chester Township since 1957. Loy grew up in Glenville, W.Va. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. Loy was a member of the VFW, the Korean War Veterans and Teamsters Local 436. He loved fishing and spending time with his dear companion, Mocha. Mr. Moss worked as a truck driver at National Engineering for 35 years, retiring in 1992. Survivors are his wife, Beverly; sons, Thomas, Timothy (Donna), Ted (Gayle), and Todd (Jennifer); grandchildren, Angela (Brandin) Maxwell, Abby Moss and Andrea and Amanda Magnani; great-grandchild, Logan Maxwell; brothers, Jennings, Joe, Edsel (Erma), and Richard; sister, Starling Carpenter; and dear companion, Mocha. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joanne (nee, St. John). Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at the funeral home. The Rev. Pam Branscome will officiate. Interment will be in Chester Township Cemetery.
