She was born in Canal Fulton, OH January 27, 1926 to Mary Pauline (Steiner) and Alfred Theodore (Ham) Kramer. Peggy liked to tell the story of being born at home during a blizzard with her dad getting the doctor there “just in time”. She was the oldest daughter of 10 children, therefore responsible for most of the ones that came after her. She always spoke of her childhood with happiness: “We were never bored”. She spoke of snow on the blankets when they woke, of sharing a bed, not just a room and of racing to be first to the woodstove in the morning to dress. Peggy shared stories of chasing the “Ice Man” on hot summer days and swimming in Lake Anna. She worked through high school as a “Soda Jerk” and graduated from Barberton High School in 1944. Peggy became a draftsperson in the forties and was proud to say that she was one of few women in the field. Peggy worked until 1964 when she was “let go” because she was a woman and a man needed the job. During those working years, she met Don and they married October 18, 1952. Peggy and Don built a home in Kirtland in 1964 and this is when her real job began; being a mom! Peggy was involved in anything for the school and was on multiple committees at Old South Church. As the kids got older, Peggy became an Avon Lady, at which she excelled…earning President’s Club most of her 35 years. Peggy radiated compassion and calm while raising her children (and some of their friends). She always had the coffee on and made time to listen and show she cared. Peggy loved her husband, her dogs, and her kids (pretty much in that order) Peggy’s biggest loves were her honorary niece, Jennifer Linville, and her grandchildren. She waited until she was 74 years old to have those grandchildren and she made up for lost time in spoiling them. Peggy will be dearly missed by her daughter, Renee (Dan) Molzon and son, Jim (Kim) Roth, Grandchildren Dustin Molzon, Darryl (Tina) Molzon, Chloe Roth, and Katie (Zach) Graham, sister Josephine (John) Maples, several nieces and nephews and many “adopted” children. Funeral Mass 1:00 pm, Friday, December 16, 2022 at Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Rd., Kirtland. Also on Friday, Peggy’s family and friends will gather again for a Visitation from 3 – 5 pm, with a Time of Remembrance at 5:00 pm, at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland. In lieu of flowers, as she enjoyed her weekly arrangements from Weidig’s Floral while alive, the family suggests contributions in her name to animal rescues and shelters. The family also wishes to thank the wonderful staff at The Residence of Chardon who lovingly cared for her the past 5 ½ years.
