

Marian Louise Matsko, age 70, died on Sunday, May 3, 2026. She was born on September 24, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Helen Ann (Grendzinski) and Leo Chester Visnieski. Marian was a 1973 graduate of Willoughby South High School, and a graduate of Kent State University's Nursing Program. Formerly for nearly forty-year resident of Chesterland, she has been a resident of Plain City for the past four years. Marian married Theodore N. Matsko on May 17, 1980. She was a nurse for Hospice of Western Reserve for many years. Marian's greatest joys in life were being a mother, wife and grandmother. She also enjoyed caring for her home, watching sports, traveling with her husband and sailing on LaDue Reservoir and Pymatuning Lake.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 40 years, Ted. Survivors include her three daughters, Amy (Jim) Wyllie, of Lexington, Massachusetts, Jessica (Joe) Sessa of Dayton, Maryland, and Christina (Brian) Penza of Powell, Ohio; her brother, Robert (Elaine) Visner and five grandchildren, Lily, Jack, Molly, Isabelle, and Kyle.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, Ohio, with Rev. Christopher Cox officiating. Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, Ohio.
