Mary Lee Maniche

To the Maniche Family,
You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Mary Lee was my childhood friend in kindergarten and grade school, and I was greatly saddened to hear of her passing.
I'd like to share a few of the memories that have surfaced the past few days. She loved all the things that most kids loved-- swimming, riding bikes, hiking, playing, etc. She also wanted to build a fort almost every day. That memory makes me smile, her saying, "Let's build a fort!"
I remember riding our bikes down the neighbor's (Frank?) driveway into her driveway. There was a "hill" across the street and we'd fly down his driveway and into hers. We'd have to post someone as lookout on the street to be sure no cars were coming... quite a thrill when we were young!
I remember the dog house plaque that hung on the kitchen wall with all the family members' names on them - Sam, Lee, Mary Lee, Tony and Sammy. When we walked into the kitchen, my sister Debbie and I would check the status to see if anyone was "in the doghouse". That memory makes me smile as well.
I remember the Maniche family to be very loving and close. I hope the memories of the gentle child of God she was will sustain you and lift you knowing that she is home with Him and other loved ones that have gone before her.
With sincere sympathy,
-- Susan Brown
