He was born in 1945, in Cleveland, to Francis and Eunice Burke.
He was a graduate of Collinwood High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mike enjoyed long trips on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, gardening, working around the home and spending time with his granddaughter. He loved animals and wildlife of all types, especially wolves, hawks and Canadian geese.
Mr. Burke retired in 2010, after 36 years as an over-the-road truck driver.
Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Anne (nee Brown); son, Sean (Kathleen); and granddaughter, Maeve.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Eunice (nee Clause) Burke; and brother, William Burke.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. Services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at the funeral home.
