Michael Nyer

Born Oct. 8, 1952, Mike was a 1971 graduate of Cleveland Heights High School. He worked for the parks dept. for the City of Euclid and later for the City of Cleveland, from which he retired as a foreman in 2004.

Mike was a devoted Cleveland sports fan. He enjoyed camping, fishing, working in the yard, and visiting the casino to shoot craps. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog Roxy.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sharon (Pinney) Nyer; children, Kyle Robert, Erica Lucia, and Maxemilian J. Nyer; mother, Norma Nyer; brother, Stan (Susan) Nyer; sister, Esther (Jim) Schwabauer; brother-in-law, Larry (Darlene) Rupp; nieces, Nikole, Jennifer, Sarah, Molly, and Julia; nephews, Kal and Adam; and many great friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Kalman Nyer; and mother-in-law, Lucille Berardinelli Pinney.

Family will receive friends 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Zele Funeral Home, 452 East 152nd St.,Cleveland. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
