Patricia Ann Lane
January 12, 1934 – March 15, 2020
Patricia Ann Lane (nee Kaschalk), age 86, of Chesterland went to the peaceful hands of her Lord on March 15th, 2020. Born January 12, 1934 in Nanty Glo, PA., she was the daughter of Andrew and Julia Kaschalk. Patricia is survived by her husband Robert “Bob”; daughters Monica (Dick) Mahla and Juliann Thompson Lane; siblings Edward Kaschalk, Monica Simmons, Daniel (Alicia) Kaschalk and sister in law Marcia Kaschalk. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Andrew Kaschalk and Elizabeth O’Neill.
Patricia took great joy in watching her grandchildren Christie, Katie, Robert, Cesira, Phillip, Clark, Michael and Elizabeth grow and achieve. She was blessed with ten great grandchildren. She was proud to be a graduate of the Ursuline Academy of the Sacred Heart. One of her greatest joys was the 15 years that she served as the Adult Advisor for St. Anselm Church’s Youth Organization (CYO).
Patricia lived her faith. She taught her family to be kind, to be generous, to love and respect… even the smallest of God’s creatures. She was not shy about sharing her thoughts, which were typically full of wisdom and surprisingly progressive. Patricia was quick-witted and young at heart! The angel figurines that she gave to all her family and friends will be an ongoing reminder of her kind heart and generosity. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Rescue Village www.rescuevillage.org., in honor of Patricia’s love for animals, great and small.

Grew up with Mrs. Lane as a next door neighbor. Watched her raise her children. When I became a working adult in my early twenties , we spoke how time flies. With that she passed on some valuable information that I have never forgotten and pass on myself. "The older you get, the faster time goes by ." Words of wisdom.
