Patricia A. Schmies, age 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2023. Patricia was the daughter of the late Carl and Zella (nee Finch) Behner and a distant cousin of Abraham Lincoln. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 21, 1931.
Besides her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her sisters Peggy (Behner) Jasbeck and Betty (Behner) Halas and her husband, Howard, who passed away in 2020.
Patricia is survived by her 4 daughters Lorrie Pritchard (husband Tim), Molly Bombard (husband Bill), Amy Vodicka (husband Terry), and Sally Bernier (husband Andre); 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
She was very social and easy to love. She loved dogs, baking, singing and playing music, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be missed dearly.
The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff of Maplewood at Chardon for taking excellent care of Patricia over the past several years.
Patricia will be laid to rest with her husband at Riverview Cemetery in Russell Township.
