A retired teacher with the Willoughby-Eastlake School System, Peter dedicated his career to shaping young minds and inspiring students both in and out of the classroom. His love for sports and his commitment to youth carried into the community, where he was honored as a member of the Wickliffe Football Hall of Fame.
Peter also believed in giving back to his community. He served with dedication on the Wickliffe School Board for seven years, including three as president, where his leadership and vision left a lasting impact. He was also a proud former member of the Americans of Italian Heritage, cherishing his heritage and the friendships he built there.
Beyond his professional and civic life, Peter found great joy in the simple pleasures he loved most. An avid golfer and passionate sports fan, he enjoyed countless rounds of golf with friends and never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Gamier (nee Ozanick); son Peter J. Gamier; nieces Flo (Chris) Haas, Paula (Ray) Sierka, Stephanie (Barry) Cook, Nicole (Roger) Brooks, Ella Cook, Hannah and Cheynne Bartolozzi, and Alexis Ozanick; nephews Mark Matteo and Brady Cook; sister-in-law Frances (Steve) Uvegas; and many wonderful cousins, great nieces and nephews, and friends.
