Phyllis Marie Omerza

Phyllis Marie nee: Berardinelli Omerza, age 89, died on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. She was born July 3, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Carolyn (Berardinelli) and Phillip Berardinelli. Phyllis was a 1954 graduate of Euclid High School. On March 2, 1956, she married Raymond James Omerza, together they lived in Waite Hill for over thirty years. Phyllis was a long time and devoted member of the Divine Word Catholic Church in Kirtland, Ohio. She enjoyed traveling, and spending time in her flower garden. She took pride in keeping her home tidy and caring for her family, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will miss her deeply.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of fifty-two years; her sister, Irene Plevelich; her brother, Gary Berardinelli; and her son-in-law, Mark Brumbaugh. Survivors include her daughter, Desiree Brumbaugh of Pepper Pike, Ohio; two sons, Raymond J. (Jennifer) Omerza II, of Empire, Michigan, and Raphael Omerza of Lakewood, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jesse (Kathryn) Brumbaugh, Nicholas (Nicole) Brumbaugh, Christopher (Wendy) Omerza, Rachael (Zach Bergeron) Omerza, Matthew (Jeannine) Omerza; and nine great grandchildren, Mark, Charlotte, Brady, Chase, Robin, Iris, Nora, Mason, and Harper.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at the Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Road, Willoughby, OH 44094. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 27th at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be private.
