Today has now been 2 years. Our family misses him, but our feeling of love continues. May God bless him and keep good memories in our hearts.  

When I was 4 Uncle Ray and Uncle Herb visited us in Dayton. I was so excited I ran to the door, tripped over a lamp cord and hit my head. They sprung into action and rushed me to the doctor who stitched me up. Uncle Ray was my hero that day and I’ll never forget it. We always had wonderful talks and he was always interested in everything I had to say. He’ll be in my heart forever. 

Uncle Ray was my closest & loving uncle when I was growing up. He had a knack of getting me out of trouble. He gave me a job at his downtown gas station pumping gas & cleaning & at his home landscaping. He even gave me a ride to work when I needed it & took me out to eat. We have enjoyed his phone calls & pictures he sent & family gatherings. We would talk about memories & family history. He & my Dad & Aunt Eleanor were big on family. Uncle Ray was a great man with a loving heart. Everybody loved Ray. Deepest condolences to family & friends. Love & prayers from Dave & Marge Kohn

I am very sorry to hear about Mr. Hartman's passing. I met him through my long-lasting friendship with his son Jeremy. The few times we met and caught up he was always nice and kind, along with the rest of the Hartman family. He was a good man and my thoughts and prayers are with the Hartmans during this difficult time.

Bob and I  had the pleasure of  meeting  Ray four years ago.  We feel blessed to have known such a caring, kind, and amazing man.  We are only sorry we didn't know him longer.  We have the honor of sharing a granddaughter, Maddison, with the Hartmans.   What a wonderful family, Ray, Vicki, their children and other grandchildren, and the rest of this big, amazing family.  Ray will be missed by all who knew him.  God bless all of you at this very sad time.

I will always remember my Uncle Ray with the  fondness  of memories and for his fun loving spirit.  He sincerely listened and respected my thoughts and ideas, which I really appreciated. And he always made me laugh! I feel so grateful to have had  so many great  camping  trips with him  and Aunt Vickie, Uncle Herb, and Aunt Fran,  all my cousins , and my family.

We never met Raymond Hartman, but we feel like we got to know some of his heart, mind, and soul through our association and friendship with his son Jeremy.  Our family loves Jeremy!  He is thoughtful, kind, curious, funny, appropriately demanding, and consistent.  He has been a part of our lives for the past 7+ years. Raymond can be proud of his son Jeremy. What more can a parent hope for?  Thanks Raymond for helping raise such a wonderful human being as Jeremy (and no doubt 4 other great children).

I met Ray at the Amaco station in Geneva. He's been a GREAT Friend to my family & I, grandfather to Beth & my girls. The times we've had together are something I'll Never forget. I will miss you and hold you forever in my heart.   You will always be my daddy and I will always love you.  

I am dad's 'oldest' as he liked to tell people, but he was worried I'd be offended.  Of course I wasn't offended! 

I learned two major things from my father: Try to pay cash for everything, and avoid taking out a loan if you don't have the money for something.  If you're going to give a dog peanut butter to eat off a butter knife, make sure the knife's rough edges point towards the ceiling so that the dog's tongue doesn't get hurt when it's licking off the peanut butter.
