Dear Aunt Margie, Jayne, Mark, Debbie, Carol and all the family. My sincere condolences to you on the passing of Uncle Ray. I remember all the good times going over to your house "in the country" and your Dad and mine, hanging out together, they were more like brothers. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To all of the family of Ray Skala:
I had not been in contact with Ray for about three years now.
I ushered with him at St. Joan of Arc for about 15 years.
During these years I got to know him well.
When my family first moved to Auburn and started attending mass at St. Joan's, Ray was one of the first I got to know. He asked me to join up with the usher group and to the team of collection counters. During these years I got to know him well.
Ray was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word. He was a great man and made an impact in my life.
He always spoke fondly of his family. There is nothing I can say other than God gave you the best and for reason only know to Him decided now to call Ray back home.
I was so glad I got to know him and look forward to seeing him again in heaven one day.
My prayers go out that you may receive God's comfort and strength during this very difficult time.

Dear Jayne, Heather and the entire Skala family....Our sincere condolences. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Uncle Ray lived a long beautiful life here with the ones he loved, and now has gone home to be with the rest of the family. I look at the picture of him holding Cora, and he so reminds me both of grandma and grandpa. He makes me smile and cry at the same time because I miss them so much. Uncle Ray had the sweet look of grandma and the hair of grandpa! Rest in peace Uncle Ray, we love you ~
