Rita Ann Oren

Rita Ann Oren, age 83, passed away at home, surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 5, 2026. She was born on April 20, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Mildred (Vitonis) Klem and William R. Klem. Rita was a 1960 graduate of the former Ursula Academy of the Sacred Heart. On June 23, 1962, she married William M. Oren. She attended St. Anselm Catholic Church of Chesterland. Rita was the playground proctor for the West Geauga School system for many years. She was the co-owner of Classic Designs with her daughter-in-law, Sue Oren. Rita was the first female member of the Chesterland Kiwanis Club and worked for the Board Elections for several years. She loved being with her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed being in nature, gardening, and watching the birds at her feeders. She also enjoyed painting, in watercolors and acrylics.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 33 years, Bill; and her sister, Delores Sellier. She leaves behind her four children, William P. (Suzanne) Oren, Joe Oren, Steve E. (Laura) Oren of Chesterland, Ohio, and Lynda M. (David) Coble of Chardon, Ohio; four grandchildren, Michael, Samantha (Joe), Brian, and Allyson (Junior); great-grandson, Jonathan; two sisters, Laurie Molnar and Maris Ritley, brothers, William Klem and Phillip Klem.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, Ohio. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Chester Township Cemetery, 12250 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland.
