

Born Nov. 22, 1918, in Cleveland Heights, he had lived in Euclid, Wickliffe and Chardon before moving to Auburn Township.
Mr. Myers served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving as a pilot in World War II. He was a former member of the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus.
He was a mechanical engineer for Ohio Rubber and later for H.K. Furgeson.
Survivors are his daughters Susan (Hank) Milnark, Janice (Tom) Gerbasi, Marilyn Sgro, and Nancy (Karl) Von Hagel; sons, John and Jim (Debbie); grandchildren, Michelle (Glenn) Turpin, Christy (Scott) Shoen, Marcy (Kyle) Kiefer, Brian (Gunes) Milnark, Gina (fiance, Doug Graf), Angela (fiance, Alex Zuendt) Gerbasi, Tom (Dawn) and Ryan Sgro, Rick, Jeff and Joe Myers, Kayla, Jill, Lynn, Kristy and Lisa Von Hagel; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Teresa; daughter, Karen; sister, Catherine; and parents, Hiram and Flora.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury Township. The Rev. Jay McPhillips will officiate. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
