Rocco Domenic Di Lillo passed away on May 2nd, 2021. He was born on October 18th, 1929 in Little Italy and was a graduate of East Tech High School and Fenn College. He was married to Dorothy Jean on November 11th, 1950. Rocco was a 63 year resident of Chester Township and he and his wife Dorothy were charter members of St. Anselm Church. He was the owner/operator of the BP gas station in Kirtland for 30 years before retiring in 1993. After retiring he and Dorothy spent their winters in Naples, Florida where he played golf seven days a week. He achieved seven hole in ones. He greatly enjoyed boating on Lake Erie and golf. Rocco was a founder of West Channel Yacht Club along with being their Commodore in 1975. He was a member of the Inter Lakes Yachting Association and the Greater Cleveland Boating Association. Rocco was a former member of the Italian Sons & Daughters University Lodge and The Italian Retirees and a member of the Knights of Columbus 310 Council. He was always available to help his family and friends with anything that they needed. He modeled to his children and grandchildren’s character, integrity, empathy, kindness to family, friends, customers, and strangers. Most of all he was a loving husband and father. Rocco is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Dorothy and his seven children Rocco wife Joan (Riley), Mark wife Tara (Sarniak), Gary wife Connie (Nelson), Ken wife Susan (Musille), Dean fiancé Valerie (Anderson-Brooks), Janine (Haines), and Chris, along with 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He dearly loved his family and was greatly loved by them. His last several years were a challenge health wise but he was a fighter along with being a strong man. Through the love and care of his wife and daughter, and some special care givers, one being Delwuan, he was able to remain at home. He peacefully passed away surrounded by his family. Dear Aunt Dorothy, Rocco, Mark, Gary, Ken, Dean, Janine, Chris and all the family,
Our heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your dear dad.

Uncle Rocco had a special place in our dad’s and our hearts.
He was bigger than life to us. Always with a huge smile and a warm hug (and a cigar).
We take comfort to know that they are together again to share good times.
Our prayers are with you all.

Condolences from
Maria, Nicki, Michael, Marco Di LIllo and family

Please give Rocco Jr.,  his brothers,  his sister Janine, and his mother Dorthy our deepest sympathy.  Mr. Di Lillo had a long life with golf, yachting, and Florida vacations.

I always remember my sister Joan's shower at the West Channel Yacht Club. Mrs. DiLillo's friends were so generous. The DiLillo's are fortunate to be blessed with many friends and a large family: children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

I'm sorry Gerry and I cannot be there.  The current lack of flights from the Charles Schultz Sonoma County Airport make flying back to Cleveland almost impossible.  Please accept our apology.

                With sympathy,

                Kathleen & Gerry Bennett
